Getting Ready for Departure!!! (3 days left)

As we are getting closer to our departure day, more stress comes upon us, as we need to pack our suitcases, decide what smart clothe we are going to wear... "I need to go shopping for cold weather clothe" said Alexia Casaus very desperately as she rushed through the corridors of the LRC.
So much more issues are coming up, we are preparing the work for the classes that we are going to miss. teachers are also getting exited, so there is nothing else we can do rather to do our best in HMUN 2008

Many people are still researching more about their positions on the conference, such as I might guess is the case of Manuel Menendez who anxiously creates constant confrontation with Fabiola Wollants in the practice Debates. So what does this conference should expect from us? Well I might say "SAVE US A BEST DELEGATE AWARD CAUSE WE ARE BRINGING IT HOME"
and so as we basically count hour-by-hour 'till the moment comes we anxiously await, looking forward of having an excellent trip.

Good luck eveyone,

History students, try to get to the Spy Museum, Holocaust Museum and Smithsonian in Washington, and the JFK museum in Boston. If you go to the JFK museum, look for the connection to El Salvador....prize to first one to email the correct answer to me.

A couple of busy days visiting the White House, The Washington Monumen, the Air & Space Museum and the Natural History Museum. We also went to see the Shakespeare Company perform Dickens' Christams Carol. A great show which we all enjoyed.

Yesterday we had a sobering day visiting the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. Following the Mall we arrived at the Holocaust Museum for a moving and emotional experience learning about the atrocities committed by the Nazis during World War II.
When the museum closed we took the Subway past the Pentagon to visit Pentagon City. This was an evening of Christmas shopping in one of Washington's top malls.

Today wasn't really my day. My feet are hurting to death- but I'm now taking painkillers, so that's good.:) Anyway, we went to a basketball game at the Verizon Center to watch the Washington Wizards and the Detroit Pistons it was very exciting and interesting. Tomorrow we head off to Boston, which we are all eager to go to because that is where we will put into practice all that we have learnt throughout these 3 months.
We hope we have a great time and that we come back to school with the best delegation award.
Boston, here we go!

Today was surprisingly not freezing. It was also nice to be able to walk up to the Washington Monument without insanely strong winds blowing you off course and down the hill. The view was amazing from the top, as you were able to see far into the distance in every cardinal direction.

We also went to the basketball game, as Marcela mentioned, and although the first half was boring beyond belief, the second half was awesome with the Wizards catching up and, in the end, winning.

And now for some advice. If ever you find yourself at the edge of frozen water, I suggest you do NOT stick your hand through the shattered ice and see who can last the longest. Your hand turns red, numb, and immobile for the longest time ever. And, it hurts :)

I´m also loving Starbucks.

So far HMUN has been a great expirience, it has not only showed us how to work as a team, but to unify and create friendship with others that we never got along in school since they were in different grades. Despite the cold weather, i couldn;t be more thankful to Mr. Eames and Mrs.Graham for taking us to such beautiful landmarks like the lincoln memorial, the washington monument and the capitol, were we learned from their history which I considered it was exciting. Also i learned in the museum's whee my favourite was the natural history !! reallly big and I saw many things that weere really interesting! .. But i must say that i really enjoy this evening watching the basketball game!!! it was sooomuch funn!! soo entretaining!!!

Right now were all in Boston and it seems like were finally putting our debating skills to the test tomorrow. In Washington we all had fun sightseeing but most of all i loved the basketball game, even though my team lost.
