HMUN 2008, WE BELIEVE IT!

Mar-ha-ba!, Hello!, Hola!, Bonjour!, Aloha!

It is amazing to look back at these past few and wonderful days where 18 young students and 2 amazing teachers joint together to cooperate and consolidate the team of ABC's HMUN 2008.

Visiting and getting to know Washington's monuments, museums, streets and caring people was a great experience for all of us who visited the capital city of The United States for the first time. The orange and brown leaves decorated the clean and modern commercial streets whilst we barely cope with low temperatures and the fierce wind that craddle into our skin and bones (no matter how many cloth layers we had on), and although some were able to stand the cold season (Manz, Zam, Alberto), some of us were not and instead implored for a hot Starbucks, a warm store or a fast subway to Mr. Mom (Mr. Eames) while Auntie Jo made her budget calculations....prooving every time she could, she was the best ATM machine ever to exist.

Now at home, many seconds seem vague for the human mind is not able to retain a lot of things that we live throughout our lives, but some are for sure going to remain in our memories forever; as when some of us fell over whilst walking on the street, or the hilarious questions formulated by Charlie to Auntie Jo when some small or big doubts came to his mind, the presidential campaign to take place someday in the future, the marvellous shoes bought by Titi and Rodri and the money miracle that took place few days before we left; to a person who definetely has learnt to organize money when travelling (me).

If we could only say "Point of personal Privilege" to "Extend this trip" or "Extend the conference" I bet both motions would pass with 100% consent of all the marvelous, smart, outgoing and positive delegates that took part of this wonderful trip and that in the future....will take part of another one!

So what can I say about HMUN2008? Maybe that it has been the most wonderful adventure of my whole life, maybe that I will not forget it, maybe that I enjoyed meeting new and outgoing people that I can now call friends......But the truth is, that I can't express my feeling towards Mr. Mom, Auntie Jo, Titi, Charlie, Marce, Gaby's, etc. for what I feel goes beyond words and senses that will remain in my heart forever!
