The cold has now begin to feel more and more comfortable, as at first we thought our hands and feet would froze and fall in any time...
What have we done? We have visited all museums you can ever think of (e.g. Air and Space in the Smithsonian area and Natural History Museum, Holocaust museum, Spy museum...) All of them are amazing...
Also, the visits to the monuments (we couldn't leave without visiting these places)...Washington monument, Lincoln memorial, Jefferson memorial, Capitol and well, obviously the White House. Gaby Saade expressed while carefully observing all of the monuments from the top of the Washington monument: "I feel i'm in Paris at the top of the Eiffel tower, but in a less romantic way"...
And...of course, SHOPPING! :) haha yesterday and today, by the way... yesterday for various hours after lunch and today while waiting for our turn to "become a spy" in the Spy museum
Right now we are getting all of the things packed up as we are leaving to Boston tomorrow afternoon...our time in Washington was great, and definitely we had lots of fun, and a great experience, including all of our almost dying moments in the cold

So far, we've had an amazing time here in DC. In less than half a day, we will depart to Boston were we'll begin the "highlight" of our trip: the HMUN conference. Personally, I think I'm ready, as are others, to STEP UP TO THE CHALLENGE :D
The sight-seeing has been incredible; the endless walking and sore feet sure have paid off! I love the modern infrastructure, the historical monuments, as well as the usual cool things such as shopping and eating at lovely cafés/restaurants. For instance, today we went to the ESPN Zone restaurant, where we had laaarge hamburgers, fries, chicken wings.
I feel so lucky to be able to rejoice in the wonders of this trip.
Dear ABC HMUN Team!
Bienvenidos a Cambridge!
My name is Andrés Castro Samayoa, I graduated from the ABC in '06 and I'm currently a junior at Harvard. I have been trying to keep up to date with all of your exciting activities during this trip.
Although I am not participating in HMUN this year, I will be offering an information session and tour of harvard tomorrow from 1-2pm, leaving from John Harvard Statue (courtesy of the Harvard Admissions Office). I look forward to seeing you there.
In case you need to contact me, please e-mail me at castro (AT) fas (dot) harvard (dot) edu
I'm especially interested to hear about these "almost dying moments". I am so impressed by the way you are calmly participating in a conference after a week of bravely facing death!
(This is sarcasm. What you wrote is hyperbole.)
